What is 4-HO-MiPT?

4-Hydroxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine (also known as 4-HO-MiPT and miprocin) is a novel psychedelic substance from the tryptamine class that produces psilocybin-like psychedelic effects when administered. It belongs to a series of psychedelic-substituted tryptamines such as 4-AcO-DMT, 4-HO-MET and 4-HO-DiPT that are thought to produce variations of the core psychedelic effects typical of psilocin.

This substance is relatively rare and has only recently been used in humans. Alexander Shulgin evaluated its effects in humans in 1979 and described a trial with 12 mg as an extremely enlightening and highly erotic experience.
