2-MMC LEGISLATION AND DIFFERENCES IN CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

2-MMC has a methyl group at the 2-position of the phenylethylamine chain, while 3-MMC has a methyl group at the 3-position and 4-MMC at the 4-position. Another difference is that 3-MMC, 4CMC and 4-MMC (or Miauw/Poes) are on List II of the Opium Act drawn up by the Dutch government. Consequently, these substances are banned in the Netherlands. In short, the production, trade and possession of these substances are punishable. 3-CMC has also been banned in the Netherlands since 12-09-2023. 2-MMC is not, for now.
